November 20, 2008 - The five main cast members for ABC Family’s TV version of 10 Things I Hate About You have been cast, says the Hollywood Reporter.
The two central sisters, Kat and Bianca, will be played by Lindsey Shaw (Aliens in America) and Meaghan Jette Martin (Camp Rock), respectively. Nicholas Braun (Sky High) will play schoolmate Cameron, who has a crush on Bianca, while his friend Michael is played by Kyle Kaplan (The War at Home). Ethan Peck (That ’70s Show) — grandson of the legendary Gregory Peck — will play the “mysterious” Patrick, who has a friction filled relationship with Kat.
For those whose film knowledge doesn’t include remembering all the character names from 10 Things I Hate About You, in the movie Heath Ledger played Patrick, Julie Stiles played Kat, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was Cameron, Larisa Oleynik was Bianca and David Krumholtz was Michael. The TV pilot has the “strong-willed feminist” Kat and “social butterfly” Bianca starting at a new high school, unlike the film where Patrick was the newcomer.

Teen star Demi Lovato was so badly bullied at school, her parents decided she should be home-schooled instead.
The 16-year-old admits she endured years of teasing from her peers, and puts it down to the fact that she was working as an actress from a young age.
She tells talk show host “Ellen DeGeneres,” “I never really understood why (I was being bullied) until looking back, I had a different lifestyle than everyone else.”
And the actress insists that she wants to tell her story to aid other youngsters in dealing with the pressures of school life.
She adds, “I want to help with bullying. Because there are girls who can’t just up and home-school and focus on their career.”
Lovato has also faced more bullying in the last few months — she recently revealed she has been the target of hate mail by jealous female fans obsessed with her Disney co-stars The Jonas Brothers.
Lovato was rumored to be dating Joe Jonas, her co-star in the new Disney music “Camp Rock,” claims they have both denied.

Next the Jonas Brothers song Lovebug was inspired by Juno?
It’s only a matter of time before the guys who left you “Burnin’ Up” will debut the video for their latest single, “Lovebug.” The song isn’t new to Jonas Brothers fans, who have seen them sing it everywhere from the VMAs to “Dancing With the Stars.” But MTV News got all the latest info about the song and its video, which is a period-piece love story inspired by “The Notebook.”
“We have a dream of what it can be,” Kevin Jonas said of the clip. “It’s about capturing that idea. We want to make sure it’s always right.”
The guys wrote the song while on the road with their friend and fellow Disney superstar, Miley Cyrus. “We wrote it while on the Christmas break of the ‘Hannah Montana’ tour. So we were in the hotel room and sat down that night and wrote it in about 15 or 20 minutes,” Nick explained.
The track — like a lot of the JoBros’ songs — is about puppy love, but this time the brothers are going acoustic. They also found inspiration from an unlikely source — the soundtrack to a movie about a sassy, pregnant teenage girl.
“The vision for the song actually came from some different inspirations,” Nick added. “But ‘Juno’ was one of our favorite movies at the time, and the soundtrack is always kind of odd, so we decided to put those elements in the song, and it came very nicely.”
That soundtrack might have helped shape the song, but Nick also had another major songwriting influence: “I think there are a lot of things we draw from, but that song in particular is a Beatles influence.”
Although no names were mentioned when asked just who the song might be about, Joe did say that the lyrics’ meaning is really open to the listener’s interpretation. “It can mean anything,” he said. “But for us, it’s throwing any past inhibitions to the wind.”
“Really, just falling in love with somebody,” Nick added. “And [how] if they break your heart — or however it ends — you think, ‘That’s it forever,’ until the lovebug gets you [again].”
The group hopes to release the Philip Andelman-directed video by October 15.

ok so i went to the first taping yesterday.
here’s the weird thing. the show’s name got changed AGAIN. it must have been a really last minute change too, because where i got the tickets it said Welcome to Holliwood, and on selena’s fan number she left a message saying she would be there and she said Holliwood too, and that was the day of the show. so then when we get there we find out the NEW name is Sunny With a Chance. demi’s character’s new name is Sunny (idk if its spelled exactly like that, i never saw it written down). I really don’t like the new name of the show, i know its too late to change the character’s name now since they’ve started filming, and thats ok because its not her name i dont like, its the show’s name. it just doesn’t sound like a disney show title. anyone agree??
the show was pretty funny though. i loved the character Chad Dylan Cooper, played by Sterling Knight (he’s not listed in the cast on imdb yet).
the episode was about a conflict between demi’s sketch show “So Random” and chad’s show “Mackenzie Falls”. the casts have never gotten along because the MF cast thinks theyre better since they’re in a drama and not a silly comedy. since demi is new she doesnt know about the conflict, and gets so excited when she meets Chad Dylan Cooper, the star of MF while getting frozen yogurt. she takes the show’s gocart out and when she comes back, the MF gocart is in their space. the rest of the cast is really mad. also, MF won a “tween choice award”, beating SR, so the so random cast stole their tween choice award and uses it as a toilet paper holder. demi (or sunny if you prefer) being the new girl on the lot, wants to make peace. so they set up a “peace picnic” where they are supposed to meet the MF cast and eat lunch together and resolve their problems. but the Mackenzie Falls cast decides to trick them, and rigs the table to fall and glues the SR cast to their seats. then the so random cast challenges them to a game of musical chairs, winner gives loser the stuff back that theyve taken from them, and also has to say something nice about the other show.
the whole cast was really nice. i met most of them after the show. selena was there too, but she didnt want to come out for autographs because it was demi’s show and she didnt want to take the attention away from her. i talked to her mom though, and i saw selena clapping during the curtain call, but then she went to the back and like the dressing rooms and stuff. and i won the another cinderella story dvd in the drawing they did lol. i’d been meaning to get it so it was perfect.
if any of you have been to Wizards tapings, ezra and darrin are the audience warm up for this show too! i was really excited it was them, theyre so funny

E! News has learned exclusively that the Jonas Brothers helped celebrate Nick’s sweet 16 birthday last night at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium.
“[Kevin, Joe and Nick] rented out the stadium last night to play a baseball game with some friends,” a source tells us.
The famous trio joined at least 15 of their closest pals (the minimum required for a baseball game) from 10:00 p.m. to around 12:30 a.m.
Just how much did the guys drop on baby Nick’s sweet 16 treat? Upward of $30,000 for the less than three-hour affair.
Just renting the field starts at $25,000. From there, lights for a night game run $5,000, and food and beverages can add up to $500. Want music? Bring your iPod to blast through the stadium for another $500. Staff, amenities and even hired baseball players can be added to the package.
The Brothers, however, preferred to bring their own uniforms. Earlier today, E! reported the band scooped up baseball gear from Big 5 Sporting Goods, including athletic pants and shirts.
A rep for the Dodgers had no comment. The Jonas Camp has yet to return calls.
Jonas Brothers are seen making nerd appearances in “Lovebug” music video. While his other two brothers don bright yellow and blue shirts, Joe Jonas on the other hand wears a dark brown sleeveless sweater and bookworm glasses.
Also joining them on the video set in San Pedro, California is beautiful actress Camilla Belle. Her appearance has made some strong speculation that she will play a cameo in the video.
In related news, the teen band confirm that they will hold a Los Angeles’ special concert in addition to all the shows that they’ve been doing. The show will be held on November 14 to celebrate the launch of American Eagle Outfitter’s new kids line, 77Kids. “We got together with 77kids by American Eagle to put on a show for fans around the world,” says Nick Jonas. “We like to think of it as an all-access video pass. We’ll see you in L.A. and online at 77kids.com!”
For abroad Jonas lovers, the band provide a full view of the concert, a sneak peek to the band’s backstage, and quick interviews with them through the official website of American Eagle’s new kids line, where seven female and seven male fans can also win tickets of the show. The event will be streamed online through the website on November 16.

Thank you for all the questions. We were hoping to hear from a lot of our fans when we put out the blog inviting fans to ask us anything. We were not prepared for all of the responses. It is by far the biggest blog we have ever had. Now we are going to start answering some of the questions.
We have really enjoyed reading them. There seem to be 2 questions that are asked more than others. We thought we would start with those questions.

There are so many questions about our dating, who we date, etc. We will try to answer some of the questions about dating in one response.
Would you ever date a fan? OR Have you ever dated someone who is not famous?
The answer is YES. We have already dated fans or girls that are not celebrities. In fact, we really like to believe that the girl we will spend our lives with will be our biggest “fan.”
Are you dating OR have you dated BLANK (fill in the name)?
It is our rule to not talk about our personal lives, especially who we are dating. The same would be true if we were dating you.
TOURING:
When is your next tour?
Our next tour will be NEXT SUMMER. We are starting our TV show next week and will be busy with the show until then. We will be going out for special performances throughout the year. Hopefully we can make it to your area but we will not be out on an official tour until June or July.
The tour next year will be our first World Tour. We want to visit some of the areas where our music has done well, for example Latin and South America, Europe again, Asia, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
What made you pick Toronto for the start of the Burnin’ Up Tour?
There were 2 reasons for picking Toronto to start the Burnin’ Up tour. The first reason was that the US was celebrating July 4th and all the venues were too busy. The second (and most important reason) was that we wanted to do something for all of the fans in Canada who took our CD to Gold!

Sure to stir up even more talk as to who’s dating who, the Jonas Brothers were spotted out at TAO last night in New York City - and they weren’t alone!
Joe Jonas and his rumored love, Taylor Swift, along with Joe’s younger brother Nick and his said-to-be sweetheart, Selena Gomez, were caught by the paparazzi as they left the trendy Big Apple nightspot.
The foursome was also accompanied by the eldest Jonas Brother, Kevin, as well as a few burly bodyguards to help clear a path to the car upon exit.
According to a source on the scene, “They (Jonas Brothers) tried to play it cool, but it definitely seemed as if there’s something more than friendship going on.”

I started listening to stuff with screaming in it, and then I started [exploring] more metal. MySpace helped me a lot, and friends will tell me about certain bands. And some of the bands I like aren’t necessarily too metal. It’s funny, because the Jonas Brothers dance and play dance music in their dressing room, and I’ll be across the hall, and I just blare metal. People walk by and go, ‘Really?’ “
